Gardens of the Past

MAY 9th MEMBERSHIP MEETING —
7:00 – 9:00 pm at the Chelsea Depot
Non-members Welcome!

garden-2Have you ever wondered if that plant that keeps coming up in your yard every year is a floral relic of an Old Victorian Garden?   Or have you ever been interested in planting a garden that matches your old house?  Well than you will want to attend the Chelsea Area Historical Societies Membership meeting on May 9 from 7-9 pm at the Chelsea Depot.

Our speaker will be MSU Master Gardener, Wendy Chiodo of Grass Lake.  Wendy and her husband have been restoring an old house and period garden there for many years.  She has 30 years of gardening experience and has extensive knowledge of gardens from days gone by.  She and her husband have traveled to France, Germany, Italy, Egypt, Costa Rica, and Hawaii to experience the Flora.  They have also visited famous gardens in Europe, including Versailles and Monet’s, as well as many famous historic gardens in the U.S., including George Washington’s Mount Vernon.

So please join us for this inspiring talk that is just in time for spring planting.
